What I like about DCU/ Ireland/ Studying abroad/ Tip:

Let me take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself. I’m Kai from Tokyo, Japan, and I’ve chosen to study at DCU because I had heard almost 20% of the students are international from up to 100 different nationalities. It is absolutely true that you can immerse yourself in a multicultural environment. Also, I love drinking Guinness and if you love drinking, come to study in Ireland!

What I like about DCU/ Ireland/ Studying abroad/ Tip:

I definitely recommend DCU for people who like to travel around the world because DCU is located nearby Dublin Airport. It only takes about twenty minutes to get there by bus or taxi from the campus. Furthermore, Dublin Airport is the headquarter of RyanAir, a low-cost airline. In Dublin, travelling is really convenient.

What I like about DCU/ Ireland/ Studying abroad/ Tips:

I recommend you to make the most of the LanguaCulture Space, where you can make many new friends from different countries. Many cultural events and language lessons are organized there every week and you can enjoy customs, games, languages and food for free by joining them. Also, you can introduce your culture or teach your language as an organizer of events. Join some events in Languaculture Space for a better student life at DCU.

What I like about DCU/ Ireland/ Studying abroad/ Tips:

You can enjoy your campus life at DCU because it is not so far away from city center. You can enjoy your weekend with shopping, dining and enjoying the nightlife in Dublin city center. Once you come here, you will find it is so easy to discover nice cafés, restaurants, and pubs all around. I am sure that you can spend a relaxing and productive time in Dublin.

What I like about DCU/ Ireland/ Studying abroad/ Tips:

Studying abroad and especially at DCU is the best decision I have made so far. There is no other country where you could have so much “craic”. Take your time to explore Dublin and especially the coastal area. At first, it seems as if you have seen the most of Dublin in two days BUT the city is full of hidden gems. Small cafes and restaurants, pubs full with friendly people enjoying their pint of Guinness, shops with hand-crafted products, a beautiful sunset at one of the beaches or cliff walks. I can definitely recommend you to eat fish at one of the great fish restaurants around the bay (Octopussy in Howth is a must try!).

I really like seeing the sunrise and sunset at the seaside in Dublin. Even though lots of people think you have to go to the west part of Ireland if you want to feel nature in this country, you can feel nature even in Dublin.

What I like about DCU/Ireland/Studying abroad/ Tips:

First of all I would recommend every student studying at DCU to join as many societies as possible. You will definitely meet amazing and open-minded people. Exchange students should take their free time on weekends to make as many trips as possible to discover the beautiful country Ireland. The last tip I would like to give is to stay open-minded, positive towards new experiences and try to adapt the Irish way of living. If you do, so nothing will harm your time in Ireland.

What I like about DCU/Ireland/Studying abroad/ Tips:

Studying abroad is an amazing experience and DCU is the best university to do so. People are great craic and we have chicken goujon AND shite Night. Can we really ask for more ?

My only tips about Ireland would be : Don’t ever queue at the bar, it’s useless, people don’t queue for a pint here.
